About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer II to join our Sweat & Lineups team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining our React Native mobile application, which is used by millions of users daily. Your primary responsibility will be to independently develop and deliver features such as My Entries, Early Payout, and Sweat Experience enhancements, contributing to the seamless and engaging user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Designers, to translate requirements into high-quality, reliable code.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React Native development
- Experience with component-based architecture, state management, and navigation patterns
- Strong understanding of CSS/styled-components and responsive mobile design
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and E2E testing tools like Maestro
- Experience with Git workflows and code review processes
- Knowledge of RESTful API consumption and data fetching patterns
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Excellent communication skills and proactive approach to collaboration
- Open to receiving and implementing feedback for continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Independently deliver features in the React Native app from design to deployment, ensuring quality and performance standards
- Write maintainable, well-tested TypeScript code that enhances user experience and app stability
- Participate in technical design discussions, providing insights on architecture, UI patterns, and component development
- Identify and resolve bugs, technical debt, and performance bottlenecks to improve app quality and accessibility
- Conduct thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback to teammates to uphold codebase integrity
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to refine feature requirements and align implementations with product goals
- Respond to production incidents as part of on-call rotation, contributing to resolution and documentation of learnings
