Software Engineer II (Java) - Pricing

About the role

The Pricing Team at Adyen is responsible for the technical components that allow all products at Adyen to be priced. This includes creating and signing deals with commercial users, answering merchant questions about their pricing, and ensuring that the rest of the Adyen platform receives up-to-date, contractually accurate, and performant data on pricing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the team’s ideas, and bring your own point of view on engineering best practices
• Identify and improve parts of the platform to make it more robust and scalable
• Collaborate across teams and time zones to get projects over the finish line

Requirements

• You enjoy seeing the big picture and understanding how your code impacts the business
• You have experience with Java, Web Services, REST APIs, SQL/PostgreSql
• You have a good understanding of Software Engineering practices and interest in product knowledge
• You are familiar with complex large scale distributed systems
• You value involving other people to hear different perspectives

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the software development industry
• Full professional proficiency in English

Skills

• Familiarity with complex large scale distributed systems
• Experience with Java, Web Services, REST APIs, SQL/PostgreSql
• Interest in product knowledge and engineering best practices

Pay

The annual base salary range for this role is $154,000 - $200,000.

This role is based out of our Chicago office and is a hybrid position. We value in-person collaboration and do not offer remote-only roles.
