About the Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team based in Tewksbury, MA. This role involves contributing to the design, development, integration, and testing of complex software systems used in aerospace and defense applications. The successful candidate will work on a variety of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and adherence to agile methodologies are essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet stringent security and operational standards.
The Software Engineer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation and testing. The role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, supporting national security and defense initiatives. Candidates must be proactive, innovative, and capable of working effectively within a team to solve complex technical problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in software development, integration, or testing
- Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, or similar
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
Responsibilities
- Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams to develop, test, and integrate complex software solutions for aerospace and defense applications
- Employ agile software development techniques and resources to ensure efficient project execution
- Work closely with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement, and validate system functionalities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team practices
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software issues to maintain system integrity and performance
- Document software design, implementation, and testing procedures in accordance with project standards
