About The Role
GHX is seeking a talented Software Engineer II - Full Stack, with expertise in Angular, Java, and AWS, to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions that support the healthcare supply chain ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in modern front-end frameworks, backend development, and cloud services, with a growth mindset towards CI/CD pipelines and software design patterns.
The position can be based remotely within the USA or at our office location, providing flexibility to the right candidate. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and maintainable applications, contributing to both existing products and next-generation innovations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare organizations by providing robust, user-friendly solutions that meet evolving industry needs. You will also have the opportunity to actively incorporate AI-powered tools into your development workflow, enhancing productivity and code quality.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in software development with a BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience developing modern web applications using Angular (v17 or later)
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, reactive programming, and component-based UI architecture
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing backend services with Java and J2EE technologies
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, ECS, or SES
- Experience with databases like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or MySQL is a plus
- Active use of AI-assisted development tools and a willingness to expand this practice
- Familiarity with best practices in performance, scalability, robustness, and resiliency
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business needs
- Develop and modernize user-facing applications using Angular, TypeScript, and component-based architecture
- Contribute to technical design discussions, document work, and adhere to IT control policies
- Build backend services and integrations utilizing Java, AWS services, and database technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical dependencies and deliver high-quality products
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues independently or with guidance from senior team members
- Follow best practices in development, testing, CI/CD, and Agile workflows
- Develop a deep understanding of system architecture and component interactions to support feature development
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
