Skills & Qualities We Value

• 4+ years of software development experience in products or SaaS, with strong skills in data structures and algorithms (Java preferred, but other languages welcome).
• Background in backend distributed systems and cloud-native development, including building reusable components and designing scalable APIs.
• Experience with software design, architecture, and working on cross-functional or multi-team projects.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
• Willing and able to work in an open office environment.
• Experience with using LLM services and building highly scalable web services, such as building an application using ChatGPT API and building a web service on AWS (or other cloud providers), will be a strong plus.
• Experience in full-stack development or front-end component/framework development using JavaScript frameworks (such as Typescript, ES6, React, React Native, Apollo, or VueJS or AngularJS, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures) will be a plus.

Compensation

Our approach holistically assesses total compensation, including cash (salary + annual performance bonus), company equity and comprehensive benefits. Our market-based compensation approach uses data from trusted third party compensation sources to set salary ranges that are thoughtful and consistent with the role, industry, company size, and internal equity of our team. Each employee is paid within the minimum and maximum of their position’s compensation range based on their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related specifications. The base salary range for this role is $126,000 - $165,650 per year.
