About the role

Customize coding, software integration, perform analysis, and configure solutions using tools pertinent to the assigned area. Provide escalated support for applications in production. Work independently on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. Provide direction in the development and maintenance of solutions and participate in various phases of the development life cycle.

Under moderate supervision, analyze possible solutions using experience, judgment, and precedents to solve a range of straightforward problems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality working software and automate manual/reusable tasks in an Agile environment, working directly with the business from the beginning of design.
  • Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding design effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in refining user stories.
  • Develop robust unit testing and support integration and functional testing for technically complex solutions.
  • Consult and partner with business product owners to understand end goals and offer solutions during design.
  • Provide support and issue resolution for performance and load testing of client-facing applications.
  • Build and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
  • Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger, more complex initiatives.
  • Solve complex technical and operational problems; act as a resource for teammates.
  • Provide automated monitoring capabilities, warranty support, and knowledge transfer to production support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4 years of experience in software engineering or IT consulting positions, performing/utilizing:
    • In-depth knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
    • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to IT.
    • Planning and managing projects, solving complex problems by applying best practices.
    • Providing direction and mentoring less experienced teammates.
  • Experience with: Java, JavaScript, Python, Jenkins, GitLab, Selenium, Appium, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Postman, and SOAP UI.
