Software Engineer II
About the role
The world’s most consequential systems need the world’s best builders. Torch.AI builds a government‑owned reasoning infrastructure that creates a Reasoning Layer to enable machine reasoning at scale in environments where failure is not tolerated. This long‑term infrastructure integrates with existing systems of record, connecting, governing, transforming, representing, fusing, reasoning over, and delivering data into mission applications and operational workflows. The Reasoning Layer comprises ORCUS (ingestion, orchestration, governance), NEXUS (semantic representation, vectorization), HALO (graph‑based fusion and reasoning) and other product components. Torch.AI seeks candidates who are creative problem‑solvers, comfortable operating without full clarity, and take responsibility for outcomes to strengthen U.S. defense readiness and protect national interests.
