Software Engineer II

About the role

You’ll own full-stack features that power the client-facing and team member-facing servicing applications for millions of Rocket homeowners. Servicing Technology is accelerating through a full-scale System of Record modernization, and engineering velocity is a strategic asset.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of full-stack features, from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Build across the front end (Next.js or React with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer) and back end (.NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL).
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to shape the servicing experience end to end.
• Contribute to decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices.
• Deploy and operate applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AI tools and agentic development workflows to increase engineering speed and improve quality.
• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework (Next.js or React) and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.
• Hands-on experience with back-end development in .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS and Amazon EKS / Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
