About the role

This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing SaaS company and a group of highly motivated cross-functional Scrum Team members. As a Software Engineer II - AccuBill, you will design and develop code that delivers rich experiences using Typescript, HTML5, CSS, IaC and related frameworks on desktop and mobile browsers. You will feel comfortable working with a full TypeScript environment and growing your knowledge in interesting and new ways.

What you'll be responsible for

Technical Execution: Full-Stack Engineer

  • Deliver consistent, high-quality Typescript code that is also easy to maintain
  • Proficiency in using AI to generate clean code
  • Assist in the technical documentation of the project
  • Convert designs and mocks into actual modules and code and functionality
  • Implement tests for code and maintain functional tests
  • Develop automation and process flows that facilitate our users and their tasks

Ownership, Accountability, Communication & Collaboration

  • Be an accountable and committed member of a highly functional Scrum Team
  • Be able to work with a modern-day scrum process and communicate progress on assigned tasks clearly
  • Drive Sprint goals to completion by monitoring Team JIRA boards and working closely (swarm) with team members to get user stories completed in priority order
  • Collaborate with the Scrum team members actively over Slack, Hangouts, Zoom, etc.
  • Commit early and commit often

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar, coding bootcamp, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of JavaScript/Typescript experience
  • Highly proficient with Typescript language
  • Proficient use of AI and AI best practices
  • Familiarity with Serverless Architecture and AWS FaaS (Lambda)
  • NoSQL/Single Table Design (DynamoDB)
  • Authentication Provider (Cognito)
  • GraphQL Server (AppSync)
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
  • Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean code
  • Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, with testing frameworks such as Cypress or Jest
  • Clear, concise, and thorough written and oral communication skills — you communicate complex ideas in simple, easy-to-understand ways
  • Available during core Eastern US hours to work collaboratively with the Scrum team
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools and version control:
    • JIRA
    • Git

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience developing Healthcare application
  • Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi)
  • Vue
  • NoSQL Database
  • Experience with observability/monitoring tools (e.g. DataDog)
  • Performance tuning (of Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync)

Pay

$100,000 - $120,000

Schedule

Remote — available during core Eastern US hours to work collaboratively with the Scrum team.
