Software Engineer II

About the Role

Lyntris is a defense technology company that connects sensing to action across the connected battlespace. This role is for a Software Engineer II, working full-time onsite. The position requires an active U.S. national security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) in an orchestrated and controlled manner.
• Work with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.
• Learn and contribute to development tasks in Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and/or front-end frameworks.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing to ensure quality across a range of software systems.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability to requirements.
• Support efforts to enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.

Qualifications

• Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one.
• Associate degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years in software development.
• Familiarity with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or another OOP language.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Experience with building tools like Gradle or Maven.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 USD per year (San Diego, CA).
