Software Engineer II

Mission

What You'll Be Doing

• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through production
• Apply AI for optimization, debugging, feasibility checks, and regression coverage
• Contribute meaningfully to technical designs before code gets written
• Understand and optimize subsystems of moderate complexity
• Use AI-driven monitoring and anomaly detection to catch problems before customers do
• Mentor new hires and junior engineers
• Collaborate across team boundaries rather than staying in your lane
• Set the standard for engineering quality and responsible AI use
• Improve testing, monitoring, and delivery practices with AI-enhanced automation
• Balance speed and quality — ship often, ship safely
• Shape design and implementation choices at the team level
• Share what you learn about AI-assisted development across teams
• Make and defend thoughtful trade-offs, not just deliver what's asked

Requirements

• A track record of shipping features end-to-end, not just tickets closed
• Proven experience using AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and monitoring — and the judgment to know where AI helps and where it doesn't
• Real experience owning a subsystem of moderate complexity, including the trade-offs that come with it
• A track record of mentoring junior engineers and collaborating well outside your immediate team
• Deep instincts for balancing speed and quality under real delivery pressure
• Comfort being measured — you want to see your KPIs, not avoid them
• A growth mindset that shows up in action: you're already looking for the next skill to pick up
