Software Engineer II
About the role
The Software Engineer II at Jack Henry is responsible for analyzing data, designing and/or debugging conversion tools, performing system analysis, and ensuring timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production. They collaborate with the QA team to achieve these goals and work with the customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects. This role requires 18 months of object-oriented programming experience and a good understanding of image files on the hexadecimal level.
Responsibilities
- Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution using C# in Visual Studio.
- Performs system analysis and programming activities via debugging and SQL database scripting.
- Provides task and project effort updates and estimates via DevOps and Git.
- Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production, working collaboratively with the QA team.
- Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborates with the customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 18 months of object-oriented programming experience.
Qualifications
- Experience programming in C# and SQL.
- Good understanding of image files on the hexadecimal level (pdf, tif, jpg).
- Experience with code management software like DevOps and GitHub.

Pay
The target salary range for this position is $60,000-$77,000, depending on experience and location.
Schedule
This position will work in a hybrid capacity out of our Springfield, MO or Birmingham, AL JH office locations.
