Software Engineer I with Security Clearance

Duties

• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with development teams to improve code deployment processes and application performance
• Help monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance reliability
• Participate in rotations to support our production environments
• Contribute to the development of infrastructure-as-code and automation scripts
• Aid in capacity planning and performance optimization of our AI-driven applications
• Contribute to the development of documentation of processes, runbooks, and best practices
• Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• Additional requirements: Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting, familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git, basic knowledge of one or more programming languages, understanding of fundamental DevOps concepts and tools, strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly, excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment, eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment, basic understanding of cloud platforms

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Basic understanding of database systems and SQL
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development and infrastructure
• Experience with or interest in machine learning and AI technologies
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects demonstrating initiative and passion for technology
