Software Engineer I, QA

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases against a full stack software
• Document and report software defects within the software lifecycle in Jira
• Participate in an agile team sprint planning/stand ups
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues
• Assist in maintaining a growing test repository of manual and automated scripts within Playwright framework
• Continuous contribution to QA standards and testing processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education
• 0-2 years experience in software QA/testing (internships included)
• General understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and Agile processes
• Basic understanding of coding languages (preferred Java Script)
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Exposure to automation tooling (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium)
• Experience with API tooling
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins, etc.)
• Motivated to learn and grow within QA industry
• Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a fast paced environment
• Flexible mindset
