Software Engineer I (Onsite)

About the role

The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and verifying embedded software solutions for Collins Aerospace. It requires a strong background in software application tools and languages like Rust, C++, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software solutions
• Collaborate with teams across various disciplines including hardware, systems, and FPGA engineering
• Work on a team that develops new and innovative products for customers' missions
• Face and conquer challenges across a wide range of complex and interesting problem domains
• Gain experience in the full software development lifecycle

Qualifications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
• Comfortable working with C, C++, Rust, python and/or Linux
• Experience coding in an embedded environment
• Security focused mindset
• Familiar with multi-threaded and object-oriented development
• Familiar with the basics of asymmetric and symmetric encryption
