Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
• Build user interfaces leveraging various visualization technologies.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and other engineers.
• Contribute to technical documentation and user guides.
• Learn and implement software engineering best practices and standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of software development principles and data structures.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with at least one visualization framework (React.js, Angular.js, Node.js, etc.).
• Ability to manipulate and extract data with SQL/NoSQL queries.
• Experience with Databricks platform.
• Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts.
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
• Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Desired Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE Programmer
• CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+)
• Software development methodology certification (e.g., Scrum Master) highly desired.
• GitHub or GitLab Certifications

Additional Information

This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to periodically work at our Nightwing location in Sterling, VA.

Pay

The salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $106,000, commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
