Software Engineer I
About the role
The Software Engineer I at Jamf is responsible for building tools to help organizations succeed with Apple. They work closely with the agile team to understand appropriate designs and practices, collaborate with experienced Engineers, Product Management, and leadership to prioritize solutions, and may occasionally work at a Jamf office or collaborative location.
Responsibilities
- Independently complete a majority of identified tasks from start to finish with high quality and collaborate with more experienced Engineers when needed.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of Engineering best practices.
- Ask the right questions, solve problems, and build great products.
- Partner with team to understand and communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud).
- Perform well-defined tasks with increasing independence and seek guidance when needed from more experienced Engineers.
- Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and purpose of the organization.
- Adhere to the highest moral, ethical, and legal standards to deliver an environment that promotes respect, innovation, and creativity.

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience developing enterprise-grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes.
- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in Python or other relevant programming languages and tools based on position requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year demonstrated experience developing on AWS.
- Understanding of build systems such as AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, others to enhance development productivity.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prominent analytical skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers in a results-driven culture.
- Ability to adapt to changing platforms effectively.
- Good listening skills.
- Able to engage with and establish trust and rapport with all levels of customers and employees.
- Solution-focused ability working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 2 year / Associates (Required).
- 4 year / Bachelors Degree (Preferred).
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
Skills

Pay Transparency Range: $77,400—$140,340 USD
Schedule
