Software Engineer, Home Design Experience

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Home Design Experience to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will shape and deliver a browser-based home design experience that blends 3D visualization, design data, and responsive user interactions. You will partner closely with product and UX leadership to turn ambiguous ideas into practical technical plans and customer-ready software. The position also owns core architecture decisions, supports a platform-minded approach to reusable standards, and helps guide the team from prototype through production. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly prototype and iterate home design workflows to deliver customer-ready software
• Lead development of 3D home design workflows with seamless UI, design data, and real-time interactions
• Own the software architecture and oversee technical delivery from prototype to production
• Collaborate closely with product and UX leadership to challenge assumptions and refine project direction
• Transform vague goals into actionable technical plans and drive delivery with implementable solutions
• Work with the platform team to define and document reusable application standards
• Guide less experienced engineers through pairing and code reviews, fostering ownership and skill development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in web application development with a strong emphasis on technical architecture
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern web application frameworks
• Experience building browser-based 3D applications, preferably using Three.js
• Proficiency in making independent technical decisions in collaboration with product and design leads
• Strong mentoring capabilities to guide junior engineers through technical challenges
• A proactive approach to solving complex problems with a user-centric mindset
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous and evolving environments

Pay

$125,000 – $150,000 annually
