Software Engineer -Golang

Accountabilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of secure software solutions
• Help shape technical direction and engineering standards
• Work closely with internal teams, open-source communities, and users to create reliable products
• Develop and maintain software tools focused on package management, software lifecycle management, and secure deployment workflows
• Contribute to cloud-native and open-source projects while staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Mentor other engineers, share knowledge, and help improve engineering practices across the team
• Influence product strategy by applying technical expertise and understanding user needs and system constraints

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), with experience in additional modern programming languages considered a plus
• Experience building software tools focused on software lifecycle management, deployment, or infrastructure automation
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud architecture
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with OCI specifications, including image and distribution standards
• Knowledge of software supply chain security practices, including SBOMs and security scanning
• Experience with Kubernetes concepts and cloud-native application development
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi is a plus
• Ability to evaluate complex problems, design solutions, and implement them effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or communities such as CNCF, ASF, or OpenSSF is highly valued
• Able to work effectively in a remote environment with strong ownership and time management skills
