Software Engineer - FuzeRx
About the role
FuzeRx is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position focuses on building internal applications that serve both internal and external users, leveraging a robust tech stack including Ruby on Rails, TypeScript/JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions for internal and external users.
- Write Clean Code using Ruby on Rails, TypeScript/JavaScript, and other modern programming languages.
- Innovate with AI by contributing to AI and machine learning initiatives, leveraging them within existing platforms for better automation and prediction.
- Maintain high availability, performance, and security of applications backed by relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Troubleshoot and optimize applications across high-volume, high-throughput, highly performant, and direct user-interacting systems.
- Build alerting systems and measure the operational impact of the code you deploy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and business teams to drive innovation and deliver customer value.
- Stay current with the latest software development trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
- Backend Expertise: Deep experience building and deploying applications in Ruby on Rails and decoupling them into externalized services with API interfaces.
- Frontend Knowledge: Mastery of modern frontend development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Systems Architecture: Experience with backend systems, APIs, server-side technologies, multi-tenancy, workflow orchestration and choreography, and long-running saga patterns.
- Database Skills: Hands-on experience working with databases, specifically PostgreSQL (and broader SQL/NoSQL experience).
- AI Interest: A strong interest in AI technologies or prior experience integrating AI solutions.
Qualifications

- Preferred Qualifications: Background in health tech, pharmacy-related industries, supply chain, or commerce technology; familiarity with major cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure); strong understanding of CI/CD processes and modern development workflows; experience implementing and maintaining Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures; excellent communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- The role requires the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds.
- Employees are also provided flexible vacation time, accrued paid sick time, 10 paid holidays, (2 floating holidays for full time non-exempt employees) , and eight weeks of paid parental leave for eligible employees, additional paid weeks for the birthing parent, 4 weeks paid caregiver leave, and a Lifestyle Spending Account allowance each month.
Salary and Benefits
