Software Engineer, Full Stack, Growth Team

About the role

This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Responsibilities

• Optimize the user journey on landing pages and the purchase funnel
• Build the backend services and APIs that power account management and growth features
• Work with designers, product managers and engineers, driving growth through rapid experimentation and data-driven development
• Ship frontend features in our React/Next.js stack
• Built simple systems that solve complex problems

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4–6 years of experience delivering working software, preferably web applications
• Solid backend experience in Go, or another compiled language with willingness to ramp on Go quickly
• Comfortable working with AI coding assistants such as Claude or Cursor, including evaluating and validating generated output
• Strong knowledge of immutability concepts, CSS and responsive design
• Working knowledge of A/B testing, feature flags and analytics development
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git)
• Writes clean, well-tested code
• Familiarity with at least one mature MV* framework
• Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset

The ideal candidate will also:

• Experience with Kubernetes
• A good understanding of engineering best practices for SEO
• Stays current on emerging tools and proposes new processes and technologies to the team
• Enjoys a fast-moving environment where individual contributors are trusted to set technical direction
