Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

About the role

Visionist is seeking a Software Engineer with a full-stack focus for a fully funded opportunity on a prestigious contract. The role involves developing scripts, analytics, and data pipelines, integrating data from various sources, building user interfaces, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts, analytics, and data pipelines to generate insights and answer complex mission questions
• Agregate and integrate data from disparate sources into new and existing tools and platforms
• Build user interfaces and visualizations that help customers better understand and interact with their data
• Engage directly with end users and stakeholders to elicit requirements, gather feedback, and refine solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share expertise and improve tooling and analytic capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in software development
• Experience developing in Python, including building data transformation and processing pipelines
• Experience developing frontend web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript with React
• Experience working in big data environments, including querying and processing large datasets
• Ability to work directly with customers and users to solve complex technical problems
• Interest in architecting and implementing solutions end-to-end

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• U.S. Citizenship required

Skills

• Python programming
