Software Engineer– Full Stack
About the role
Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) organization is seeking a skilled full-stack developer to join their dynamic team. This role is part of a hybrid team that requires at least 3 days per week in the office, though candidates local to Richardson, TX, RTP, NC, or Milpitas, CA are considered.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance scalable full-stack applications that solve important customer and business challenges across the CX Platform.
- Design reliable, high-performing systems and integrate AI/ML-driven capabilities to improve real-world product experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver secure, high-quality solutions in an agile development environment.
- Contribute to architecture, development, testing, and CI/CD practices to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience, or PhD with 0+ years of related experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Golang, Python, Pytest, SQL (preferably PostgreSQL), Angular, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with one or more of the following: microservices, Kubernetes, containerization, virtualization, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience integrating AI features (AI-assisted code generation), event-driven architecture (Apache Kafka) and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience with RESTful API design, API security, or hierarchical and relational data modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Git, system design, or application performance optimization.
- Experience with testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
- Experience with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or object storage platforms such as MinIO or Amazon S3.
- Problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing delivery skills.
Benefits
The starting salary range for this position is $152,500.00 to $219,200.00, reflecting the projected salary range for new hires in U.S. and/or Canadian locations. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may also be eligible for paid time off, grants of Cisco restricted stock units, and performance-based incentive pay.
