Software Engineer, Frontend

This role supports US-based remote work or hybrid in-office in Palo Alto, CA.

About the role

Join a cross-functional scrum team to design and develop new products and features that help clients grow their wealth. You’ll build client-facing features using our in-house Design System components, improve infrastructure, and enhance developer productivity. As a core member of the Frontend team, your work will have significant impact through cross-platform collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with backend and mobile engineers, designers, and product managers to build and enhance features
• Triage and resolve operational issues to ensure mission-critical web systems operate smoothly
• Contribute to web platform infrastructure projects to improve system health and performance, increasing product delivery velocity
• Participate in recruiting activities, including interviewing
• Provide mentorship to other engineers on the team

Requirements

• 2-5 years in a web-focused engineering role
• Deep understanding of JavaScript, including standard ES5+, native DOM APIs, and at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks (Express, Django) is a plus
• Experience working with design to build custom pages and components, with a focus on page speed performance and responsive CSS across screen sizes
• Passion for projects with measurable business impact and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field

Pay

Estimated annual salary range: $150,000 - $189,000, plus equity and a discretionary bonus.
