Software Engineer, Frontend

This role supports US-based remote work or hybrid in-office in Palo Alto, CA.

About the role

Join a cross-functional scrum team to design and develop new products and features that help clients grow their wealth. You’ll build client-facing features using our in-house Design System components, improve infrastructure, and enhance developer productivity. Cross-platform collaboration ensures significant impact.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with backend and mobile engineers, designers, and product managers to build and enhance features.
• Triage and resolve operational issues to keep mission-critical web systems running smoothly.
• Contribute to web platform infrastructure projects that improve system health, performance, and delivery velocity.
• Participate in recruiting activities, including interviewing.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.

Requirements

• 2–5 years in a web-focused engineering role.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES5+), native DOM APIs, and at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks (Express, Django) is a plus.
• Experience working with design to build custom pages and components, with a focus on page speed performance and responsive CSS.
• Passion for projects with measurable business impact and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field.

Pay

Estimated annual salary range: $150,000 – $189,000, plus equity and a discretionary bonus.
