Software Engineer / Embedded, Grand Prairie, TX

About the role

The Software Engineer Sr position is within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), a leading designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Embedded Software
• Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities
• Perform Control Account Management and Earned Value management and provide SW subcontract management oversight

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related field
• An active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation in the last 5 years
• Experience working with real time embedded systems
• Knowledge and Experience with Embedded Linux C++
• Experience deploying, debugging, and Integrating Embedded Software on Hardware

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering and software development
• Ability to interpret program needs, formulate solutions, and communicate to leadership effectively
• Experience as a software engineer working with multi-disciplined teams
• Experience designing ground system embedded software
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Software integration and verification experience

Skills

• Ability to work remotely
• Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility
