Software Engineer | Early Careers, 2027 Start
About the role
As a Software Engineer, you’ll help develop and scale core components of our platform. Your work will support the automation of complex processes, the launch of new product offerings, and the growth of our infrastructure. This is an important role, as your contributions will directly enable technology that is powering billions in investments and driving meaningful impact for our clients. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product managers, and other team members to deliver solutions that make a difference in our clients’ investment processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build and improve application features
- Contribute to both user-facing interfaces and backend services using modern frameworks and technologies
- Help develop reusable software components and APIs that connect front-end and back-end systems
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code, and learn how to optimize for performance and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from peers and senior engineers
- Assist in designing and implementing systems that are scalable and maintainable across the stack
- Troubleshoot and fix issues across front-end, APIs, and databases
- Gain experience working with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and databases
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks and features, developing an end-to-end understanding of how they work
Eligibility
You are currently in the process of obtaining, or have obtained, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field, and are graduating between December 2026 and August 2027. We anticipate start dates in early 2027 and summer 2027.
Requirements
- Experience building and programming, through internships, class projects, or personal work
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
- Frontend or backend development experience; full-stack exposure is a plus
- A track record of taking on projects and seeing them through, even in ambiguous or fast-moving settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical people
Bonus Points
- Contributed to a personal project, open-source work, or something outside a classroom that shows how you actually build
- Exposure to the kind of problems we solve here: automation, data-heavy systems, or fintech
- Enjoy debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, not just building new features
