Software Engineer -Digital Tools & Engineering- Level 1

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Python, or other modern coding languages
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, and/or Streamlit
• Experience with databases and/or Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipelines (CI/CD)

Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, test, and deliver software UI/UX and backend coded solutions to complex digital ecosystem capabilities.
• Develop and implement features and capabilities using DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
• Communicate with internal and external customers.
• Write clean, scalable code using Java, Python, and other relevant languages.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with a software development focus from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) and/or GitLab
• Experience/certifications with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing technologies
• Demonstrated experience using key Python libraries and frameworks, such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn, Flask/Django, Requests, SQLAlchemy, and pytest (or equivalent testing tools).
• Ability to select the appropriate library for data manipulation, scientific computing, web services, or automation tasks.

• Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
