Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on building and operating the internal platforms and services that help engineering teams ship software faster and more reliably. You will own critical infrastructure end to end, with a strong emphasis on improving developer productivity, deployment speed, and system observability. In close partnership with other engineering groups, you will help remove workflow bottlenecks and deliver scalable technical solutions that support the broader organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer-infrastructure services at scale
• Drive measurable improvements in build CI wall time and deploy speed
• Own services end to end, ensuring reliability and observability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points and improve platforms
• Lead technical designs for major cross-functional projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, specifically in infrastructure or backend systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, or Python
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment orchestration techniques
• Strong understanding of observability and SLOs
• Ability to drive performance improvements in developer workflows

Pay

$152,405 – $179,300 annually
