Software Engineer-Developer 4
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Hybrid)
About the role
Our organization is seeking qualified software engineers to develop solutions in a defense and security environment. This role involves working in an agile, collaborative setting with current software development tools to support development and integration tasks. The position requires engagement with a high-fidelity lab environment for troubleshooting, working directly with aircraft hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components and functions.
- Support the development of software functional requirements.
- Support software architecture trades and revise existing architecture.
- Specify internal and external software interfaces.
- Conduct software test-driven development.
- Conduct and support peer reviews on all software life cycle data.
- Contribute to the success of an Agile development team.
- Support sprint planning and meet sprint commitments.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded (real-time) software development.
- Proficiency in Ada and experience with Agile development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous technical experience in an aerospace environment.
- Proficiency in the design and implementation of multi-threaded real-time applications.
- A self-motivated problem solver, capable of taking initiative with minimal instruction.
- Ability to problem-solve in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong communication skills.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, first-shift position with flexible start and end times between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to complete a full 8-hour day. The role is hybrid, with a preference for candidates who can be onsite in Oklahoma City as needed. Candidates not local to Oklahoma City must be comfortable traveling to the site periodically. An initial onsite training period may be required.
