About the role

The Microsoft Sovereign Cloud Identity team is seeking an early career Software Engineer to join the Authentication team. This role focuses on maintaining the lifecycle of the Entra Authentication services stack within the Azure ecosystem. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
• Verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
• Support the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.
• Learn to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature while reusing code as applicable.
• Assist in breaking down work items into tasks and provide estimation.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems.
• Review current developments and proactively seek new knowledge to improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products.
