Software Engineer, Compute Team

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of compute and data delivery services
• Enhance data access efficiency for various datasets
• Improve system reliability and scalability by addressing edge cases
• Manage underlying data persistence layers such as Spanner and PostgreSQL
• Oversee operational metrics, alerts, and incident responses for services
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support team services

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in building services using Go or Python
• Experience with cloud-native development and containerization
• Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment and large shared codebases
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly
