About the role
The Close product is the operating center for accounting and finance teams. It weaves collaboration, automation, and workflow tools with deeply-integrated financial data and reporting. Customers rely on Numeric to alert on their financial transactions, perform trend analyses, match money movement across accounts, and more as they close the books each month.
Responsibilities
- Ship in a tight feedback loop with customers, and take pride in raising the quality and robustness of the system in which you work.
- Practice “leave it better than you found it” with the systems in which you work.
- Refactor and improve the system, codebase, and tools as you go.
- Enjoy tight feedback loops with active customers, and be energized by shipping visible changes to user-facing features.
- Reason about systems with regard to resilience, testing, and observability.
- Be excited to build systems to support and manage AI development, enabling faster pace without losing stability and quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-time experience building software, ideally some tenure of >2 years in one company.
- Fluency of backend fundamentals, including data structures, database fundamentals, performance concepts. Code design skills to build robust, high-quality programs.
- Bonus points for B2B SaaS experience, especially in related areas like finance, accounting, or in other complex domains.
- Strong AI development workflow.
- Strong product thinking, user empathy, or design thinking.

Compensation Range
$155K - $260K
