Software Engineer (Cake PHP)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Cake PHP) to join our Software Engineering team. This is a remote contract position with a duration of 6 months. The client is a company specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of home appliances and related products worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications
• Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs
• Act as a subject matter expert, collaborate with and manage the team to perform effectively
• Take responsibility for team decisions and engage with multiple teams
• Contribute to key decisions and provide solutions to problems within your immediate team and across multiple teams
• Drive the design and implementation of innovative software components that meet evolving business requirements
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions
• Analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective, scalable solutions to enhance system performance
• Support and guide team members by sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment
• Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to elevate quality and efficiency across projects

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in CakePHP
• Expert proficiency in Software Engineering (recommended)
• Advanced proficiency in Custom Application Development and Software Design & Solutions (suggested)
