Software Engineer, CAD Automation
About the role
We are currently looking for a Software/CAD Automation Engineer to join our team. This role involves building solutions to boost productivity and efficiency of our custom circuit designs, working with multi-functional teams, and supporting the existing development infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work within a multi-functional team on various projects involving Pre-silicon and Post Silicon hardware design and related data
- Support circuit design engineers to automate typical design tasks and improve efficiency
- Build flows and methodology around vendor EDA tool and design collaterals to streamline design and verification workflows
- Work closely with design engineers to support the existing development infrastructure, identify possible improvements and solutions
- Employ good software engineering practices to develop complex and scalable systems
Requirements
- MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience; PhD preferred
- 3+ years of experience in VLSI CAD flows and methodology
- Prior experience and background in VLSI is required
- Good programming skills in multiple languages (C++, Tcl, Python, Makefile or other scripting languages)
- Good interpersonal skills, quick learner, proactive, innovative, highly motivated, and committed
Qualifications
- Experience with design collaterals such as .v, .gv, .lib, gds, etc...
- Enjoy working with multiple levels and teams across organizations
- Effective interpersonal and technical presentation skills
- Self-starter with passion for growth, real enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing findings across the team
Skills
- Strong understanding of VLSI design methodologies and CAD tools
- Experience with EDA tools and design collateral management
- Proficiency in C++, Tcl, Python, and/or other scripting languages
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

The base salary range is $136,000 - $218,500 for Level 3, and $168,000 - $264,500 for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
