Software Engineer, Biztech Client and Identity

The Client and Identity Engineering team at Airbnb is responsible for establishing the user identity and endpoint security infrastructure in Airbnb's corporate environment. Our systems enable all Airbnb employees and partners to have secure access to the data they need at the right time and in the right context. About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure systems that underpin the entire Airbnb Zero Trust ecosystem. This role involves working on critical platforms that impact Airbnb employees and partners' productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

• Work with open source products to build the next generation client platform for all Airbnb corporate endpoints.
• Build on our zero trust back end suite, supporting security services, network paths, and user and device signaling.
• Optimize endpoints for Airbnb employees and partners.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure the best work environment.
• Design and evolve platforms to meet engineering challenges as business needs present themselves.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master/PhD's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in test driven software development.
• Extensive experience with Go, Python, or Java (Go strongly preferred).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code deployments.
• Experience developing and deploying services in a Kubernetes environment.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within engineering organization and cross functions.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Show motivation for personal growth and learning new technologies to support the team's needs.

Qualifications

Pay

This role is eligible for a base pay range of $162,000—$186,000 USD, depending on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Schedule

The role is Remote Eligible, but you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
