Software Engineer, Backend (Java, KeeperApp)

Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain backend services that power critical application capabilities.
• Own server-side engineering, focusing on performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Contribute to Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues involving performance, reliability, and correctness.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and application services.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering expertise and experience building production-quality applications.
• Experience solving complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong foundation in Java development, databases, APIs, and software architecture.
• Experience working with MySQL or similar relational database technologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with Kotlin is highly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
