Software Engineer

About the role

This position involves developing and improving low-level firmware and mobile applications for Yoder Smokers' pellet grills and other IoT solutions. The role requires interfacing with various sensor and driver protocols, designing user interfaces, and managing storage and networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain low-level firmware for embedded systems
• Design and implement user interfaces for mobile applications
• Interact with and manage storage devices (NOR flash, NAND flash, RAM)
• Work with networking modules (WiFi, Bluetooth LE)
• Collaborate on custom electronics projects
• Implement OTA update processes
• Write and maintain documentation for code
• Debug and test code to ensure functionality
• Participate in agile development cycles

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in C/C++ programming
• Experience with I2C and SPI protocols
• Experience with LCD and button controls
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems
• Ability to work in a small agile environment
• Rapidly learn and implement solutions to real-time problems

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience

• C/C++ Programming
• Interfacing with sensor/driver protocols (I2C, SPI)
• User controls / interface (LCD, button controls)
• Low-level interfacing to networking modules (WiFi, Bluetooth LE)

Pay

$80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
