Software Engineer

Overview

VTG is seeking an experienced and adaptive Software Engineer to support a mission-focused customer in the development of a Radio Frequency Processing System. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

What will you do?

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects using a variety of programming languages (Java, Python, Rust, C++)
• Create and maintain a scalable, high-availability, mission system using modern system design principles
• Create docker containers and/or Kubernetes pods and clusters
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
• Generate automation scripts as appropriate to improve workflow and efficiency

Qualifications

• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly clearance required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience with Web Development using VueJS or React
• Familiarity with REST, Node JS, Python
• Nice to have: Kubernetes (basic Kubectl commands), Docker, Make, Buildx, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Websocket, GRPC

Pay

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $140K-$160K annually, with offers potentially exceeding this range based on qualifications, experience, and other factors.
