Software Engineer

About the role

Visionist is seeking a Software Engineer for a fully funded opportunity on a large prime contract. The role involves developing and deploying containerized applications, building scripts for data processing, and leveraging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Create build scripts to convert, process, and normalize data
• Utilize DevOps practices to support software development and deployment
• Leverage AI technologies to enhance applications and workflows
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and identify opportunities to apply AI and machine learning solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 8 years of experience in software development
• Experience using AI, LLMs, and emerging technologies
• Experience developing production applications in Python
• Experience deploying and managing services in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket
• Experience documenting work using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
