About the role
Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring mid-level Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development across the Mission Solutions portfolio
- Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate delivery
- Bring existing engineering experience to bear while continuing to grow toward a Solutions Architect track
- Take ownership of features and support field and integration activities as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 2–8 years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver production software
- Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
Qualifications
- Preferred locations: Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Remote
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, support military exercises, and major integration events
Skills
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Go, or similar languages
- Experience in edge compute, mission systems, or rugged platforms
- Interest in growing into a Solutions Architect role
