Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain features for our FinTech platform using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x
- Build clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party services
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to application architecture
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Work closely with senior engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and production-ready features
- Participate in code reviews and share development best practices
- Contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing engineering culture
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Use automated testing practices to maintain application quality and stability
- Identify and resolve defects and performance issues
- Contribute to continuous improvements in development and testing processes
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Work with Git and CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery
- Utilize tools such as SonarQube to improve code quality and maintainability
- Follow secure software development practices and help identify potential vulnerabilities
- Build applications that meet applicable security and regulatory requirements
- Gain exposure to payment systems, transaction processing, and FinTech security
- Support compliance with standards such as PCI-DSS
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2–4 years of professional experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x
- Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and PITest
- Experience with SonarQube and code-quality practices
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes
- Exposure to React or other front-end technologies
- FinTech or payments industry experience
- Understanding of payment processing and transaction systems
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS and data-security practices
