T-Rex has been tracking a recent trend of job offer scams. These scams start with an unsolicited email or LinkedIn message from a fake or impersonated recruiter that states the candidate meets a skillset that the recruiter is looking for. That is often followed up with a false screening questionnaire and even an interview for the nonexistent position. After this, the candidate receives an official-looking job offer. In some cases, there is also a request for a large payment to acquire office equipment, such as a laptop. The scammer tells the victim that they will be reimbursed for the purchase of the office equipment, but of course this never happens.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems in the field of data analytics. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects are aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced data analytics models to drive business insights and decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Conduct regular data analysis and reporting to monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data analytics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning libraries
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
