Software Engineer

About the role

StoneEagle is looking for an experienced Software Engineer III to join our development team. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building reliable applications, and taking ownership from development through deployment and production support. You'll collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional partners to design and deliver solutions while contributing to application architecture, code quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and services
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
• Develop and consume APIs and web services
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues
• Contribute to application architecture and development best practices
• Share knowledge and support the growth of other engineers

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with object-oriented programming
• C#/.NET, PHP, or comparable backend development
• Web application development
• SQL and relational databases
• Git/source control
• REST APIs and web services
• JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular or React
• MVC development
• Cloud development
• CI/CD
• Authentication, authorization, and application security
• Application and architectural design patterns
• Linux environments

Qualifications

You're a strong fit if you're an experienced engineer who takes ownership, thinks beyond the immediate fix, communicates effectively, and balances quality with business needs. You should be comfortable working independently while collaborating with and sharing your expertise across the team.

Skills

Experience with AWS/Azure, ORM technologies, infrastructure automation, and SASS/LESS is a plus.

Pay

$115,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Monday–Friday, with occasional after-hours support/deployment rotation
