About the role
Sifted is seeking a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing the next generation of our solutions, including planning, designing, building, testing, documenting, deploying, and maintaining software, data structures, and information systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work closely with product owners and stakeholders, and contribute to all aspects of software development.
Responsibilities
- Leverage AI tools in daily development workflows
- Evaluate, integrate, and maintain AI/LLM-powered features in production applications
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Design, develop, and continuously improve scalable software solutions
- Full-stack application and infrastructure development
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts
- Implement techniques and processes to improve software quality, cost-effectiveness, and feedback loops
- Rapidly apply lessons learned and collaborate across the organization
Requirements
- Actively leverage AI tools in daily development workflows
- Comfortable working with AI-generated code
- Design, develop, and continuously improve scalable software solutions
- Full-stack application and infrastructure development
- Proficient in one or more of the following languages: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python
- Contribute to all aspects of software development, test automation, and deployment pipelines
- Collaborate in teams consisting of engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts
- Develop and implement techniques and processes to improve software quality, cost-effectiveness, and improve feedback loops
- A desire to learn new business processes and technologies, and excellent problem-solving skills
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2+ years full-stack software engineering experience
- Experience integrating LLM APIs into real applications
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts relevant to software engineering
- Exposure to AI orchestration tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
- Understanding of AI cost management and latency tradeoffs in production
- Prompt engineering fundamentals
- Thorough understanding of C# and its core principles
- Proficient with SQL
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, such as EC2, S3, and Lambda
- Experience utilizing DevOps tools like: Jenkins, Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK, AWS CodePipelines, Bitbucket Pipelines, or Azure DevOps
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Familiarity with security best practices, knowledge, and implementation
