Software Engineer

About the role

We are an early-stage engineering team solving hard technical problems at the intersection of AI, systems, and real-world interaction. We operate with high autonomy, collaborate closely across functions, and maintain high technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed services that are performant and maintainable
• Own projects end-to-end, from design to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams
• Contribute to team standards and continuously improve system reliability and performance
• Blend product engineering with systems design and offer the opportunity to shape how users interact with AI, not just behind the scenes, but directly through the products they use

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience building and operating backend systems or distributed services
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Experience working with machine learning pipelines or AI infrastructure, familiarity with cloud-native systems (e.g. Kubernetes, serverless, event-driven architectures), ability to take a problem from design through to production independently, prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical efforts
• PREFERRED Qualifications: Experience working with machine learning pipelines or AI infrastructure, familiarity with cloud-native systems (e.g. Kubernetes, serverless, event-driven architectures)
