Software Engineer

About the role

We are an early-stage engineering team solving hard technical problems at the intersection of AI, systems, and real-world interaction. We operate with high autonomy, collaborate closely across functions, and maintain high technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed services that are performant and maintainable
• Own projects end-to-end, from design to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and technical deep dives
• Contribute to team standards and continuously improve system reliability and performance

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience building and operating backend systems or distributed services
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience, experience building and operating backend systems or distributed services, proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java, strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• PREFERRED Qualifications: Experience working with machine learning pipelines or AI infrastructure, familiarity with cloud-native systems (e.g. Kubernetes, serverless, event-driven architectures), ability to take a problem from design through to production independently, prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical efforts
