Software Engineer

About the Role
Metrologic is looking for a Software Engineer to join our QDM/IF development team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain software that enables manufacturers around the world to manage quality data, analyze process performance, and make informed production decisions. This is a full-stack engineering position where you'll work across Angular front-end applications, .NET services and APIs, and PostgreSQL databases. You'll collaborate closely with Product Management, Software Quality, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software that is secure, scalable, and maintainable. Whether you're enhancing existing functionality, building new features, or solving complex customer challenges, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on products used in quality and manufacturing environments worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Design, implement, and support REST APIs and database solutions.
- Create scalable, high-performing software while following established architecture and coding standards.
- Contribute to technical specifications, API contracts, and data model designs.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Validate analytical and statistical results against reference data.
- Apply secure coding practices and resolve vulnerabilities.
- Support software releases, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
