Software Engineer

About the role

Radiance Technologies is seeking a skilled software engineer to join their development team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on various aspects of the ISR Ground Procedural Trainer (GPT) and ISR Operator Procedural Trainer (OPT).

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously and collaborate with customers to design, develop, test, and integrate capabilities into GPT and OPT.
• Develop software using C#, Java, C, or C++.
• Contribute to hardware/software integration projects.
• Integrate flight simulators and VoIP communications systems.
• Develop GEOINT and SIGINT sensor emulators.
• Create touchscreen interfaces and 3D visualizations.
• Collaborate on virtual reality integration projects.
• Support training development and implementation.
• Travel up to 20% within the CONUS for project work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple programming languages including C#, Java, C, and C++.
• Experience developing in Visual Studio.
• Experience with Git or similar version control software.
• Troubleshooting skills with relevant software and hardware.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and understand critical systems schematics and design diagrams.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Object-oriented design and development skills.
• Experience with software architectural design patterns, especially MVVM.
• Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Knowledge of network communication protocols.
• Experience with Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) and XAML.
• Experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 operating systems.
