About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Flip in New York. You will build and maintain high-quality software that powers our platform, working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team planning sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Express) and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
